Information for Applicants

Thank you for your interest in Rush University Medical Center as your next training site.

The Office of Graduate Medical Education is here to assist you in making your transition to Rush easier. Please familiarize yourself with information on our training programs, and take time to review our current Housestaff's Agreement and information about benefits. Familiarize yourself with the salary, benefits and obligations which are offered this current academic year.

We have placed some information online regarding overnight accommodations and local housing resources. There are several hotels which offer special discounts for Rush applicants; be sure to tell them that you are coming to interview at Rush to receive "recruitment rates". You may need to bring your invitation letter or email as proof when you register. Directions and a Rush map are readily available and printable.

If you are a current medical college student who would like to take an elective at Rush Medical College, please visit the Rush Medical College web site for more information.

If you are applying for a Rush fellowship which does not go through a special matching service, please utilize our Rush fellowship application (PDF, 359K).

If you have questions concerning visas, please contact Helen Lavelle, Director of International Services at Helen_Lavelle@rush.edu. Rush will sponsor both H1B and J1 visas for selected programs.
